2026 New Car Prices: First-Half Recap and Second-Half Outlook
The first six months of the year are behind us. How much of what we predicted back in January held up, how did the market actually move, and what should we expect in the second half? In this article, we look at the current data.
What Happened in the First Half of the Year?
Price movements varied by segment between January and July:
- Entry segment: List prices for models like the Fiat Egea and Dacia Sandero were largely maintained; the real difference showed up in dealer negotiations.
- Mid and upper segments: Exchange-rate movements gradually fed through into prices for imported models.
- Electric segment: Model variety grew. TOGG's lineup expanded from the T10X to include the T10F, while brands like BYD and Volvo stretched the price range both downward and upward.
Current Segment Price Ranges (July 2026)
Entry and B Segment
Dealer price range: 1.37-1.9 million TRY
C-SUV and Mid Segment
Dealer price range: 1.94-2.66 million TRY
Electric Segment
- TOGG T10X / T10F: 1.87-2.37 million TRY (RWD versions)

Status by Brand
Domestic Production (TOGG)
The T10X and T10F, with their RWD standard-range versions, continue to hold the price-to-range balance in the electric segment; top trims like the V2 4More climb to around 3.1 million TRY.
European and Asian Brands
While import costs continue to gradually feed through into European brands' prices, Chinese brands (BYD, Chery, MG) keep gaining market share with aggressive pricing at both the entry and premium ends.
What's Expected in the Second Half?
- Dealer campaigns: Summer stock-clearing campaigns are expected, followed by equipment updates in autumn tied to the new model-year transition.
- Electric segment: New model entries are likely to intensify competition, especially growing the range of options in the 2-2.5 million TRY band.
- Loan campaigns: Any change in bank interest rates directly affects the monthly payment even if the list price stays fixed; see our Car Loan Interest Rates article for current rates.
Practical Notes on Timing Your Purchase
